How to make lavender wands
Lavender has been a favourite plant for its wonderful scent since the time of the ancient Romans, who used it to scent their baths or to make perfumes. The Greeks prescribed it for coughs. Lavender tea is drunk to calm the nerves and ward off insomnia. This herb is a real miracle, not only does it smell long, but it also has a long-lasting effect on the human psyche. The lavender scent is certainly unmistakable and what is its effect on the human body? Most other stimulating plants soon lose their effect as we get used to them, but Lavender is different. Its effect is long lasting.
Procedure
Cut the lavender with long stems.
Remove the excess leaves and make bunches.
Count an odd number of stems like I did, 27 pieces.
Tie the bouquet just below the flowers. Leave the beginning of the ribbon longer and turn the whole thing upside down. Begin to weave the stems through the longer end of the ribbon. Over three stems, under three stems and repeat.
Continue spiralling until the flowers end and the bobbin narrows. At this point tighten the ribbon slightly and continue interlacing. At the end of the work, make a bow and be sure to trim the stems nice and flat.
