How to tie a tie easy – Windsor knot

In this article we will show you how to tie a tie easy, windsor knot. The Windsor knot is named after its founder King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor. The Windsor knot, sometimes also referred to as Full Windsor or incorrectly double Windsor, is fuller and more balanced than the half Windsor knot.

As with other conventional tie knots, the Windsor knot is triangular with the broad end of the tie in front of the narrow end. Windsor is wider than most common knots and, although not fully symmetrical, is more balanced than an ordinary Four in Hand knot. Windsor width is particularly suitable for use in conjunction with a wider collar.

The length of the narrow end for tying must be determined by each person according to their character and length of the tie. In general, the tip of the tie should end at the waistband but not overlap.
