Simply cover the areas with pitch and use a blow dryer (warm setting) to soften it. Comb and wash your hair as usual. Mayonnaise has the same effect. Rinse with a solution of baking soda and hot water (1 cup baking soda to 3 cups water), then wash the car as usual.

Mineral spirits is an oil-based solvent that is often used as a paint thinner and is commonly found in many households. This home remedy is also effectively used to remove resin from cars. Soak a towel in it and wipe the affected area with it. Repeat as necessary until the sap is gone from the trees. Then wash the car.

Another great pitch remover is WD-40. Its mild solvent properties easily break down the resin. The lubricant is safe for most types of paint. Spray it on and rinse with a vinegar and water solution. Wash as usual.
